Medieval 'Incised Band' Hand Bell
Copper-alloy, 43.18 grams, 56.86 mm. Circa 16th century AD. A cast copper-alloy bell with a globular clapper on a single double-ended link. The rim is decorated with an incised border and the suspension loop is cast integrally on a D-shaped block. Reference: Murawski, P. Benet's Artefacts, Ely, 2003 item P20-0202. Very fine condition. Provenance: found Old Knebworth, Hertfordshire, England.
