Medieval 'Leather Worker's' Knife
Iron, 23.73 grams, 160 mm. Circa 15th century AD. In wrought iron with long tang and convex cutting edge. A maker's mark stamped in the form of a letter 'T' with a pellet before within a rectangular background. Reference: London Museum Catalogue 1940, plate XXIII. Provenance: from river sediments, London at the Tower. Unusual item in sound condition.
