Medieval 'Punch Decorated' Complete Folding Mirror Case
Copper-alloy, 18.10 grams, 44.72 mm. Circa 14th century AD. Formed of two hinged sections, with securing lugs opposite the hinge. The punched ornamentation in the form of a double cross with quarter circles in each quadrant within a double edge border to each part. Reference: Portable Antiquities Scheme no NLM-84BF84, for an example of the same form. Good very fine, complete and opens. Provenance: found Brockdish, Norfolk, England.
