Copper-alloy, 4.62 grams, 21.56 mm. int.dia. 17.57 mm (British O½, US 7¼). Circa 14th century AD. A plain band with a thick (2mm) subrectangular bezel featuring a seal matrix in the form of a seated figure holding a T-shaped object, perhaps a hammer. Reference: Oman, C.C. Victoria and Albert Museum Catalogue of Rings 1930, Reprinted Ipswich, 1993, pl.IV item 71. Very fine condition. Provenance: from an old European collection.
