Medieval 'Starburst' Vesica Seal
Lead, 8.83 grams, 28.36 mm. 13th-15th century AD. A small elliptical personal seal bearing a central design of a starburst between a cross and triangle. The border bears the text +S[....]THE / WE[..]HETT in Lombardic script. Reference: cf. Murawski, P. Benet's Artefacts of England and the United Kingdom, Ely, 2003 item M16-0252/3/4. Very fine condition. Provenance: found near Sittingbourne, Kent, England.
