Silver, 1.61 grams; 27.65 mm. Circa 14th-15th century AD. Silver gilt strap end inscribed DICTATV I N MVLIE R, possibly of religious significance. Short tapering sides enclose a central spike around which is the inscription, the reverse shows the piece to be of hollow construction which would allow the leather strap to fit inside. A rare piece of high status in very fine condition. Found Germany, Ex Pullen collection.
