Roman 'Grinding' Quern
Granite, 7535 grams, 312.19 mm. Circa 1st Century A.D. Quern-stones used to grind materials, the most important of which was usually grain to make flour for bread-making. This particular example is in a grey granite stone and of a dome shape with two holes to receive the hand stone. Very Fine condition. Found North Africa.
