Gold and blue glass, 2.27/2.26 grams, 11.34/11.71 mm. Circa 2nd-3rd century AD. A delicate pair of Roman earrings, with the D-shaped wire hoop attached to a dished gold disc with ropework double border and central ropework collet. From the loop depends a wire rod supporting a pierced blue stone, probably blue glass. Reference: cf. the earrings in the British Museum from Tortosa published in Higgins, R.A.
