Roman 'Heavy Duty' Bronze Key
Copper alloy, 45.68 grams, 61.87 mm. Circa 1st - 3rd century AD. A solid heavy duty tumbler lock key with a large suspension loop and pedestal that is detailed with two incised lines. The bit has two large teeth each having a circle cut in to the top. Ref: Guide to the Antiquities of Roman Britain by The Trustees of the British Museum, Fig 41.
