Gold and glass, 2.46 grams, 22.17 mm, int.dia 18.73 mm (US size 8¾; British size R) 1st-4th century AD. A Roman hoop finger ring with ribbed detailing on the band. The circular bezel contains a cabochon panel of black glass within a gold collet and is decorated with a single granulation at the junction with the hoop. Reference: Oman, C.C.
