Gold and glass, 1.22/0.99 grams, 30.03/29.24 mm. 1st-4th century AD. A pair of delicate earrings fashioned as wire hoops, the ends secured by twisting around the shank. From these depend pendants formed from a wire threaded through a glass bead covered in gold foil, secured by looping through a small spherical red glass finial. Reference: Higgins, R.A.
