Gold, 2.65/3.24 grams, 34.42/33.96 mm. Circa 2nd-3rd century AD. A delicate pair of Roman earrings, with the D-shaped wire hoop attached to a flat gold disc with ropework double border and central ropework collet. From the loop depends a ribbed loop ending in a ribbed collar and pyramidal granulation in imitation of a bunch of grapes. Reference: cf. the earrings in the British Museum from Tortosa published in Higgins, R.A.
