Roman 'Corrugated' Drinking Mug
Terracotta, 135 grams; 92.42 mm. Circa 3rd Century A.D. A dark orange, fine-grained fabric, It has a bulbous, onion shaped body with a low round foot so it can freely stand upright. On the shoulder is a small decorative handle terminating at the flared out turned rim. Pretty corrugated, linear lines decorate the body of the mug. Ref: Robinson H. S. Pottery of the Roman period.
