Vibia Sabina was the favourite niece of Trajan. She married Hadrian in AD 100.

Silver, 3.27 grams, 17.65 mm. Rome. 128-137 AD. Obverse: SABINA AVGVSTA, diademed and draped bust right, hair in queue down neck. Reverse: IVNONI REGINAE, Juno standing left holding patera and sceptre. RIC II 395a; RSC 43; Sear 3921. Very fine-good very fine.

Bronze, 23.66 grams, 30.61mm. Rome. 128-134 AD. Obverse: SABINA AVGVSTA HADRIANI AVG P P, draped bust left, hair in plait. Reverse: VENERI GENERETICI S-C, Venus standing right, drawing out fold of drapery and holding apple. RIC 1035; Sear 3941. Fair-fine. A significant coin which has been published on wildwinds.com
