Silver, 1.22 grams, 18.70 mm. 1209-1217 AD, class 6c2 (ornamental letters). Obverse: facing bust with sceptre and HENRICVS REX legend with H, E, C, E ornamented; the last E of the rare florid form. Reverse: voided short cross and quatrefoils with +ILGER.ON.LVNDE legend with all letters except O ornamented for the moneyer Ilger at London mint. S. 1355A; N. 976/2; Mass SCBI 56 -. Good fine. Most coins with ornamented letters show only one or two letters each side so treated; this reverse die shows more (15 of 16) ornamented letters than any other known die; die not recorded by Mass.

Silver, 1.18 grams, 15.94 mm. 1217-1222 AD, Class 7a, struck in a collar. Obverse: facing bust with sceptre and HENRICVS REX legend. Reverse: voided short cross and quatrefoils with +PERESONDVR legend for the moneyer Peres at Durham mint. S. 1356A; N. 978(B). Very fine, the Durham mint coins in this brief period and sub-class were, uniquely, apparently struck in a collar that ensured the finished coins were truly round; the coins also have a raised rim and smaller diameter than other issues, scarce.
