Tudor 'Filigree' Dress Pin
Silver-gilt, 2.07 grams, 42.46 mm. 16th century AD. A silver-gilt dress pin with tapering round-section shaft and spherical head covered with six filigree hoops, each with a central knop, and further knops between the rings. Reference: Murawski, P. Benet's Artefacts of England and the United Kingdom, Ely, 2003 items M06-0102, 0103. Very fine condition. Provenance: from an old English collection.
