Viking ‘Serpentine Spiral’ Arm Ring
Copper-alloy, 80.94 grams, 131.36 mm. 10th-11th century. A substantial arm ring of Baltic Viking provenance. The expanded central portion is decorated with moulded spiral band decoration in imitation of the usual twisted-rectangular bar rings. The terminals are thinned and flattened; one is narrow and pointed and the other is spatulate.
