Visigothic ‘Plate’ Buckle
Copper-alloy, 26 grams, 83 mm. Circa 6th-7th century AD. A small concave-sided buckle-plate decorated with regularly placed ring-and-dot motifs and integral rectangular loop, the tongue of shield-on-tongue type with outer end curved over the loop, two pierced attachment lugs on the reverse.
