Silver, 0.78 grams; 18.70 mm. Type BMC iv, Two Sceptres; 1072-1074 AD. Obverse: facing bust with sceptre each side and legend +PILLEM REX ANGL. Reverse: cross fleury with annulet centre and legend +MANNIIONNORP for the moneyer Man at the mint of Norwich. S. 1253; N. 844; BMC iv. This type is not listed in EMC or SCBI for this moneyer at Norwich. Man does appear on a variant of type BMC i for Norwich. Apparently, an unrecorded issue for this moneyer at this mint. Good very fine; a small flan crack at 5 o’clock.
